Make a Gift
Our 50th Anniversary is a great time to contribute to TWC's legacy. Any gift can be made in memory or honor of a friend or loved one. Ticket revenue covers less than 40% of our overall expenses, and we depend most especially on donations from individuals. Please help sustain The Washington Chorus' artistic, outreach and education programs with a tax-deductible contribution. And this year, our Board of Trustees has issued a special matching challenge to celebrate our 50th year and to build a strong foundation for our next 50 years. Attend an Anniversary Event
This season is full of fabulous parties and events to commemorate our golden year. We started off with the Celebration of Choral Music at La Maison Francaise last November, and look forward to the 50th Anniversary Season Gala Auction and Dinner on Saturday, May 14, 2011, which promises to be stylish and festive! Following that, we hope you will join us for a very special 50th Birthday Party in a beautiful rural setting where singers (current and former) will come together to mark this special occasion with a summer evening full of memories, music, and good company.
Sing with Us
The Music Director has set high audition standards to ensure the quality of the Chorus. The current membership must audition every year. Auditions for new singers are usually held during the summer months, early September, and occasionally in early January. The audition process involves vocalizing, sight-singing, and tonal memory exercises – no prepared work is required. The Washington Chorus rehearses on Monday evenings at National Presbyterian Church in Northwest DC. If you are interested in auditioning, please contact the Chorus office at 202.342.6221.
